S E X

I might be wrong, but i think the three letters make up a word that is on the minds of most people. And i do not mean it in a bad way. i mean sex is natural rite? Its the one way to ensure that the human species doesn't die out.

What got me thinking about sex? Two things actually, one is a newspaper article i read in the past week. It seems that scientists are able to "trick" an egg(ova) into thinking that it has been fertilized eventhough it is not. Although it results in a female baby every time, its not that much of a problem rite? Since only eggs are required, sperm is not effectively redundant, which means males are now redundant. Just imagine with me, a civilization where there is only one sex, namely females. Scary huh, takes the fun out of procreation too, since sex is now no longer needed? and everyone is a woman? unless of course they are all into female on female action? Of course the fact that the technique use is still horribly unstable and has a high failure rate, ( high percentage of the ovums used either fails or results in a deformed fetus. )

But think about it, if they were to perfect the technique,a female only civilization
bring some interesting thoughts to mind.

1) Less wars on the whole? although there might be certain times every month in which the risk of conflict increases?
2) Homosexual families might become the de facto family nucleus. i mean it is pretty difficult to look after a kid by yourself?
3) Finally equality between sexes becomes a dead topic.
4) SEX (the act) will become redundant.

Another thing that got me thinking about sex is a discussion with a close friend about pre-marital sex. apparantly, he thinks that pre marital sex is immoral. This is a matter of personal conviction, i do not view pre-marital sex as something that is immoral, for i do not think that marriage is a necessary event in a person's life. So if someone was to decide that marriage is not for them, would you say its immoral for them to engage in consenting sexual acts? I am neutral on this, but since i'm not intrested in marriage, i guessing i'll engage in pre-marital sex too...

But if marriage is not in the books, is it still considered premarital sex?

despite this, i still believe that sex is something that should be done with someone you love. Regardless of marriage or not.

i Believe that sex is a perfectly natural thing, it's a way for two ppl to bond, can u think of another way in which two person can be so intimate? to know each others body. It's innate function might be procreation, but i believe that it also serves as the way for two person to move their relationship to a more intimate level.
