Charity

read an Interesting article in the online edition of the straits time today. it was about the whole hoo haa raised over the NKF's huge reserves.
The article was about Mr Willie Cheng who disclosed the difference in the amount of funds raised for two charitable organisation who had the same aims, namely the NKF and KDF, both are involved in the funding of kidney dialysis.

BUT, the thing that caught my eye was not the contents of the article ( although it was interesting ) what was truly interesting was this. at the end of the article, the list of ways to make a donation to the ongoing NKF fund raising effort was appended. Free publicity?

It made me think that perhaps this whole "revelation" of the NKF's reserves was not such a bad thing after all? i mean, they got the free publicity ( the money saved will now go towards bolstering their reserves ), true it might have started out negatively, "i'm not gonna donate to NKF anymore" being the response of part of the public. but i guess everthing is still going to turn out alright, since everyone is now trying to make things right again. even the guy who started the whole fracas in the first place.

oh well, all the best to NKF's latest fund-raising event.
